The process of bonding of two fabrics to one another, ideally a
thin layer of knit made from polyester or a poly/cotton blend. The Knit Back finish is an industry standard to reinforce a fabrics strength, and durability, while helping to eliminate seam slippage. Normally this finish is applied to fabrics meant
for furniture, drapes, and lighting fixtures.

But really, applying the Soil Guard finish does help to add a level of protection against most liquids. Be it soda, coffee, and even red wine. The finish creates a thin layer around the fibers helping the liquids from being rapidly absorbed. This allows time for the liquids to be blotched off using a paper towel. Based on the size of the spill additional cleaning might be required using warm water and non-abrasive sponge.
